hehyeh it is truly amazing that many people dont pay attention to the fact
that the latest "wanna be" computer jocks load every mo-fo'n program in
the world on their machine and turn on their bios virus scanner and you
name it and still expect everything to work. and of course, they are
experts or their brother or sister is an expert.
a long time ago, this crap was called TSR programs...
i have never failed to get a modem online reliably even with the shittiest
computer, modem, and line.
it is all a matter of time and $$$...
if a client will pay for professional work, then their computers will work
better and they get an education and like you more and spend $$$ to get
it.
go collect $45 to $75 an hour from them. prove your worth, dont give it
away or fail by not asking if they will trust you and spend money on you.
arent all you people professionals?
if your client base wont spend money, you cater to the slick crowd. new
isp every month.
if you just sell dialup and no professional services, then you already
know to cut the loss if you cant get em on over with a phone based tech
support person.
blah blah... shut up...
