I'm pretty sure the PRI is the culprit here, as the disconnects increased
manifold when we switched PRI's. Back when we switched, we saw hundred of
CRC4 errors per minute, and that issue was resolved by the telco by moving
us onto another port on their switch and replacing the broken board.
I'm a bit reluctant to start the telco on a witch hunt again though,
because the current rate of E-bit errors can easily stem from regular
interference. That said, I'm probably going to roast them for using coax
instead of fiber into the premises.
Plus, I would feel that single bit errors should not cause the link to
drop, because the D-channel protocol is supposed to be reliable, no? The
termination cause in radius is Lost Carrier mostly.
