Firstly a report-back to say I managed to get the PM2E30 working. I had PAP
turned off, and once I enabled it, everything worked fine. Thanks to everyone
for their kind assistance.
Now I have 2 questions:
If I do a winipcfg command from the Win '98 box I've used to dial in, it shows
the default gateway as the ip address from the modem pool. Shouldn't that be the
address of our border router? If so, how do I configure that? I have already
specified the IP gateway correctly.
Secondly, I have set up the PM2E30 with a DNS entry and an in.addr-arpa entry as
well. However, should I also give each of the modem pool IP's a DNS entry too? I
have PMVision and there is a section, under Configure/Global to insert an IP
address for "reported IP address".
