Hello
Have you tried what Lucent call "3 finger salute"
This is a risky procedure of shorting certain pins together. It basically
disables the flash during boot up.
If you are about to throw the PM away, you might want to try it.
I know you can do this on a PM2, and am not sure about the PM25.
Anyone who has done the HFI training should be able to show you.
You might want to call support and ask.
I do not want to try and explain it here, because things a bound to go
wrong.
What does the screen do with a netboot. Try to do it with only the tftp
server on the lan with the unit. You could try a serial port boot.
The Flash is probably corrupted in such a way as to prevent the boot up.
Did the GENERIC file come from the CD or the internet.
If it came from the internet, you should download it in binary mode.
Some FTP clients default to ASCII
Good Luck
James
