56K connection require one side of the connection be a digital connection.
You can not plug standard external modems into a PM2 and get > 33.6K dial in
(You can get outbound at 56K if you dial a digital NAS). There are some
modem racks that are BRI, CT1 or PRI feed that will work but you are better
off normally with a solution like the PM3 or PM4 for dial in access at 56K.
