I think the point made some time ago, is that CCC can be caused by either
the PM or the remote end. Whether this was intentional, or not is a matter
for the RFE department.
Some time ago, "set m3 off" would give you CCC if a call was in progress on
M3.
I have not tested it since.
So I think you can say that if you have a total figure of CCC, some will be
due to the remote end and some due to PM modems.
For example, "set m3 off" causes the remote modem to loose carrier. When the
remote modem senses this, it hangs up the line, therefore causing an ISDN
level CCC initiated from the remote modem end, but the thing which started
the process was the "set m3 off". At the ISDN level, the PM sees the remote
end as requesting the disconnect, at the modem level, the PM initiated the
disconnect. I think the PM is logging the ISDN level message where the modem
level message might be more useful.
