(PM) PM4 / Radiator Trouble - need help.

This mail is being sent to the portmaster-users@livingston.com and
radiator@open.com.au mailing lists, simply because I cannot figure out
where the error is occuring.
(Apologies to Mike for sending this directly as well - I think I may not
be able to email the the radiator list somehow).

Setup:
Portmaster 4, ComOS 4.0.3
Radiator RADIUS auth server.

Problem: Users dial in, establish a connection, but fail to authenticate.

Symptoms: I have Radiator debugging on level 4 and this is what I find.

The user dials in. Presents Username and Password to the Portmaster.
The PM always generates the RADIUS auth req and Radiator always sees it
(I know this by watching the radiator logs).

Radiator is configured to look up users first from a users file (i.e. my
old Radius 2.01 users file) then query a MySQL database.

The Radiator logs then show that the authentication succeeds (as expected)
and I assume issues a Auth ACK packet back to the NAS. 50% of the time
the user gets on OK, the other 50% of the time the connection just sits
there until it times out and kicks the user off.

Other details:
In Radiator I'm using DupInterval 0, but I don't seem to see any dupes so I'd
figure that the PM NAS is getting the packet.

Help. This is causing me real difficulty with my userbase - especially since
I never had these problems with the PM2E + Radius 2.01 and could provide a
better service a month ago...

Thanks.

Paul Gregg
