Hi

(Pls do a group reply for this mail as iam not getting mails from the
mailing list- Looks like some problem)

I have an existing dial up setup with pormaster2e .

We use this equipment mostly for dialing out. Here creation of
location and dialing intialisation will be done remotly from a utility
which is available acroos all machines. Now migration of Portmaster2e to
PM3 should not affect on these functions.

During the dialing out on PM2e (from the utility), if i do a "sh
loc" i get the following,

Portmaster2e> sh loc xyz
Location: 337837 Type: Manual
Destination: 172.24.95.1 Netmask: 255.255.255.255
Protocol: PPP Options: Quiet, Compression
Input Filter: prod.in Output Filter:
Group: 0 Max Ports: 1
Idle Timeout: 2 minutes High Mark: 0 bytes
Mtu: 1500 Async Map: 00000000

Dial Script: Send Command Wait for Reply
------------------------------
------------------------------
ATDT8w6028603640\r CONNECT
ppp\r ~

Here the last part is AT command string which execute and
establish the connection (pls correct me if iam wrong)...

My new PM3 has one ISDN PRI connection and digital modem cards
installed (for analog connection support).

Now using PRI on PM3 what i need to do to get the same
configuration (which is on PM2) for a location so that there will not be
any changes (or i can acheive the same)on the software.tool...

Do i have to do any other changes on my utility so that there
will not be any problems on the user end to dial out from my site...

There will be couple of changes between existing setup and
planned setup
which are,
1) If we decide and work perfect upgrade all PM2e to
PM3 (Globally)
2) Instead of analog lines on PM2E, it will be PRI with
digital modem cards

I appreciate ur help on this, Iam looking for a smooth migration
....

TIA

Regards
Shibu
