;) I saw 3 reposts for the "3 questions" maybe some mail delivery problems

Shibu, you need to learn to read release notes!

ComOS 3.8 supports the ITU standard V.90. V.90 is now supported for
Lucent, 3Com, and Rockwell chipset client modems dialing in. V.90 is
supported for a-law and u-law.

V.90 is not supported for dial-out. The maximum analog dial-out speed
is 33600bps for V.34, K56flex, and V.90.

at&n-- Unrestricted 64Kbps data connection.
at&n0-- 3.1KHz audio service. On a PortMaster 3, use this command to
place a modem call.
at&n1-- Speech service. On a PortMaster 3, use this command to place a
modem call.
at&n55-- 3.1KHz audio service.
at&n56-- Restricted 56Kbps data connection.
at&n64-- Unrestricted 64Kbps data connection.
