* Since the Courrier works, did you try comparing its registry to the
Sportsters'?
* Is your competitor a PM3 pool as well? If so, hell do some
social-engineering and call them posing as a client's temp secretary with
connectivity problems :)
* Does the Sportster have the latest BIOS?

Subject: (PM) PM3 vs 3COM modems

I've been trying to get a 3COM internal faxmodem to connect to my PM3
without any success. I can connect to my competitors in town, which really
steams me, but I can't make this thing connect to my service. The modems
don't link up, that is, they screech at each other for about 3 tries, then
the PM3 end hangs-up. If I dial in to an account I have on a competitor's
system and telnet to the PM3, then do a "sh m0" the modem doesn't even show
a connect. I can connect and send email from my office modem - a
V.Everything Courier, but not from the Sportster this other location. Has
anyone had these connect problems and if so, how do you resolve them?
