Has anyone had any luck in dealing with this modem? It is Rockwell (HCF?)
I can't figure out how to make it connect reliably. I always get 42000,
or 40000, never more, never less, and it seems latency is a problem... it
runs real slow. The user on the other end has very little understanding
of how to use a mouse, so if we can fix it with an INIT string and be done
that'd be nice.
There's a bucket load of them with trouble too... Why not just go ISDN? :)
If anyone has an IT position open without modems, I'm interested... Name
the place. ;)
