Two potential problems with that. On my system, if I do this, the
ATI1 and ATI3 information for my modem is not displayed. In hyperterm,
if I do ATI3, I get the following:

ATI3
U.S. Robotics 56K Voice Pro EXT V4.9.2

OK

In the control panel diagnostics, it just shows up like this:

ATI1 OK
ATI2 OK
ATI3 OK
ATI4 ... [valid info for ATI4 here]
ATI4 ...
...

Later on, there is another reading (ATI7) which contains the 4.9.2 version
number, but it's buried in a lot of things. I have no idea why Windows=
will
not properly report the ATI3 setting via the control panel diagnostics.

Secondly, it is not possible to copy text from the diagnostics output=
window
into the clipboard. So the user has to either retype it all, or be walked
through it over the phone.

This is all in Windows 95 OSR2.1 (4.00.950 B).
