Actually, my first recommendation; have him connect with hyperterminal (or
some other com program). That particular message is often a problem with
the DUN settings. (I just got off the phone with someone who got that exact
message for a bad password.) If you can see the screen in hyperterminal and
that works fine, it's probably not the modem. If you can't see anything in
hyperterminal, well, then you're writing the right list... :)
