My LT Winmodem in my ThinkPad 1472 seems to connect the same to ComOS
3.9b26 as it does to ComOS 3.8.2c2. (Still at 37333 from here.)

That, of course, is just one datum. The modem came with IBM's form of 5.37
drivers, passed quickly through IBM's 5.44, and is now on 5.66 generic
Lucent, clinging fiercly to 37333 throughout. (My external Zoom, on the
other hand, is back up to 45333 tonight after flirting with 37333 the day I
upgraded the IBM.)
