How to handle SLIP, PPP, and shell accounts

I have many people do the following for users who wish multiple service
types:

Joe User

shell = joeuser
PPP = Pjoeuser
SLIP = Sjoeuser
ISDN = Ijoeuser

Does anyone know a better way of handling this? Some kind of prompt
to the user for service type? etc..
