If you are going with T1, why just 8 modems? I would think you would go
with 24.

Initially there was. I believe the patch 3.5c6 took care of most
outstanding 14.4 issues.

Actually, I don't think Lucent has to deal with the FCC issues like USR.
Lucent told me they hold a patent called Level Learning which does exceed
the transmit level of the FCC mandate. At the moment, we are supporting
K56flex which is the joint effort of both Lucent (Vflex2) and Rockwell
(k56plus). Thye only other 56K modem we will support will be the eventual
standard.
