Once upon a time Chuck Rouzer shaped the electrons to say...
> One connection would be framerelay connection the other would be T1
>channelized for 24 incoming analog modem lines. This box would also act
>as a gateway for a LAN.

No problem.

>there have been problems with 14.4 or lower modems connecting to a PM3.
>Is there a fix coming out for this soon?

It is some 14.4K modems - we're within the specs but some modems (like some
Sportster 14.4s) are not. We are continuing to tweak the modem code to aid
in compatibility with these modems as they occor.

> How is the 56k technology shaping up? Livingston recently released

We're planning the major announceent soon, possibly this week.

>bugs are worked out and they make an agreement with the FCC, will
>Livingston also support the Rockwell/Lucent protocol or both the

The Lucent technology we are using is K56Flex - that is the protocol both
Rockwell and Lucent are using to interoperate.

We have no plans to support X2 as the current environment is that you can
do one or the other.

We will support the ITU-T standard when it is available.
