(RADIUS) radius switching ip's (fwd)

Once upon a time Derrick Stinson [Webmaster PC-Net] shaped the electrons to say...
>radius 2.0.1 on a a solaris x86 2.6...
>machine has 3 nic cards in it... .7.8.9
>.9 has vitural ip's on it.. set radius to .7 on reboot of server
>or PM
>the PM changes IP's to try to talk to either the .9 or the
>vitural hosts on it... I have to kill all interfaces on all

The PM is not going to talk to any IP but the one you configured. If
you are claiming it is *sending* RADIUS packets to a different IP, please
show the traces of that - I don't believe it.

>the cards except .7 for 5 mins then bring the other interfaces
>up. Is there a fix to stop the PM from jumping ip address..
>We have 3 PM's with Cmos 3.7 on them ...

Sounds like the OS, it isn't the PM and it isn't the RADIUS server's
place to determine the IP it uses.

>Used the ptrace and would get a different ip return every reboot of the
>server.. is there a work around or a way to bind radius to listen to
>only one ip ??

That isn't RADIUS' job - the OS handles the IP and sockets. Multihoming
a machine can up the complexity. Talk to the OS vendor.
