I'm sure the VAR margin will decrease somewhat, but don't think we're going
to start gouging them. In the end we want to see the best deal for the users.
As for complete solutions:
1. We are working on several new programs for 7x24 support, etc..
2. That's why they are 'VAR's and not just 'R's - if they provide a complete
package that includes things we don't provide, I would expect them to charge
a bit more. That is where 'value add' makes a difference.

So far so good. I expect it will have some teething issues, that's my
pragmatic side, but so far I don't know of any. We'll see over the next
month as more units go out to the pre-release sites and get thrashed.
>I'm not actually disappointed with Livingston, I just don't like games. My
I don't like games either. I push the limits on what I'm supposed to give
away here all the time, I've gotten in trouble a few times for giving you
all too much info or spilling some secret that was supposed to be saved for
a marketing effort, or giving out info on products not yet announced. To me
the end goal is to get the info to the users -you- that they need. I just
need to be careful, sure I'm a popular guy and all, but I can't charm my way
out of everything. ;-)
Believe me, more than once I've gone right to the VP of Sales and Mkt and
pushed back to the ok to give you more info ahead of the official efforts.
I will continue to do what I think is right, and provide the best service I
can to our customers.
