The error message:

"Dail up networking could not negotiate a compatible set of network
protocols you specified in the server"

Is a catch all error message saying it didn't work. We've seen this message
as a result of untrained DTE speed to problems with compression. Your best
bet is to run 'debug 0x51' and see how far its getting before it gets stuck.
