"dropping duplicate: from pm3.cia-g.com - ID: 209"

Once I upgraded to Radius 2.0 on a BSD/OS box (the precompiled BSDI binary
from Livingston) I started getting these errors when a user tried logging
into one of my portmasters:

Sun Nov 24 18:48:57 1996: Dropping duplicate: from pm3.cia-g.com - ID: 209
Sun Nov 24 18:49:00 1996: Dropping duplicate: from pm3.cia-g.com - ID: 209
Sun Nov 24 18:49:00 1996: Dropping duplicate: from pm3.cia-g.com - ID: 209
Sun Nov 24 18:49:03 1996: Dropping duplicate: from pm3.cia-g.com - ID: 209

That PM2eR is running ComOS 3.3.3 as are my other two PM's (which work
fine with Radius 2.0). The only difference is that only PM3 is a remote
POP, the other two are on the same ethernet as the radius server. It
shouldn't matter though, I used to run Radius 1.16 and all three worked
fine.

Anyone have any idea? I've searched the archives before and I couldn't
find anything saying what the meaning of "dropping duplicate..." messages
meant.
