I think this is Ascend marketing talking. They say the 4002 is
"better", but it also costs more. However, if you dig deeper, the 4000
can run the 4002 code! I really don't think is there *any* hw difference
between the 4000 and the 4002. The 4000 can't use the 12 modem cards, but
as soon as you load the 4002 code it can, but only 2 of the T1 ports will
work (until you pay for the key to "unlock" them)!!
