Win95 Dial-up Networking and Netware 32 client

I have a need to support IPX through a PM2er. This works perfectly with
Windows 95 dial-up networking using the IPX compatible protocol and Client
for Netware Networks. However, I need to use Novell 32 bit client to
connect to a Netware 4.11 server. The goal is to use IPX to the IPX/IP
gateway running on the Novell server. This will allow my customer to use
only one IP address, instead of one address for each dial-in user. The 32
bit client and IPX/IP gatway works great when attached locally (by
ethernet) and allows access to the web using Netscape.
I have tested (for many hours) trying to establish an IPX session through
the Portmaster using the 32 bit client. It refuses to recognize the
connection. When I turn on a filter to see the ipx traffic, there is no
traffic on the dial up side of the router. However, there is an IPX route
established. It seems as if the Novell 32 bit client refuses to talk to
the dial-up adapter.
As stated, the same configuration works great with the Microsoft client.
What could be wrong?
