routing ?'s

I have some questions about routing, and a beef with the "Configuration
Guide for PortMaster Products". Why does the Guide assume I'm using
PMconsole at some times and then give command line instructions other
times? What's wrong with giving instructions for configuration from
both methods in all cases...or make separate manual versions for
PMconsole and ComOS commandline? Why can't I do things like "show
routing" to see what I have routing set to?

With routing set to on, will the PM advertise via RIP any connected or
routed address? i.e.

routeme Password = "UNIX"
User-Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Port-Limit = 2,
Framed-Route = 192.168.100.0 0.0.0.0 1

When routeme connects, will the PM advertise via RIP that it is the
gateway for 192.168.100.0/24? I'd hate to have to add a static route to
our 2501 to handle this...and that would also make it terribly unscalable.

Will the PM also advertise assigned addresses? Currently, I have static
subnet routes (in our cisco) assigning blocks of addresses to each term
server (PM's included), and I wonder if this is necessary. It's not a big
deal to assign them...I just wonder if it's necessary.
