I don't know if meta commands are really needed. Is it so hard to use
delete a few more times than deleting a word?

How about the emacs ^U?

^U = times 4. So ^U^U = times 16

And ^U-# means repeat follow commands # times.
^U 10 ^F is more forward 10 spaces.

We are working on the ability to dump the config as text. Don't know about
the indenting.
