Hello Mark
Many of the 98xx cards with rev F are now fixed.
If they have been fixed, you will see a Printed or hand written "J" on the
white label in the middle of the card.
The fault was a wrongly programmed chip on the modem card.
The fault only occurred in one batch of these chips.
This chip was programmed by Lucent's suppliers.
The chip can be reprogrammed without removing it from the modem card, but
the PM3 cannot do the reprogramming.
This explains why a modem card with 98xx and rev F can also be a fixed card.
The extra "J" is the only way to tell.
