I disagree with your disagreement. ;-) because ISDN lines are run thru
newer better equipment, are more carefully terminated, and the bandwidth is
MUCH higher than 3000Hz. Instead of trying to convert digital to analog and
back, which by design, will introduce more errors due to the added
complexity, given the higher bandwith, the representation of a 0 with a
certain wave pattern is much further away than the reporesentation of a 1
with a certain very different wave pattern.
