Here is what I am trying to do. I currently have 6 pm3's. 5 on one
class C and another on another class C. The first 5's pool is set in
its own class C while the 6th's pool is on the same class C as the 6th
PM3.
We are getting a lot of packet loss and timeouts on the first hop (the
PM3) when doing traceroutes. They happen on all 6 of the PM3's. I
didn't notice this until a while after installing the 6th PM3. We
contacted Lucent Support and opened a ticket. The problem seems to be
because the PM3's RIP was broadcasting every 30 seconds and was causing
a lot of overhead on the PM3's.
Here is my setup so far on the first 5 PM3's
PM-01> show os ar
Stub

and on the 6th PM3.
PM-06> show os ar

But when I do a 'sh os ne' on the 6th PM3 I get this.
PM-06> show os ne

I have enabled OSPF, done the reset ospf and done a lot of reboots. I
have also set up my router (a cisco 2501 to do OSPF[According to another
OSPF article]).
I am still getting a lot of timeouts and high times (average of 2750 ms)
on the traceroutes. What did I miss? Can anyone please give me some
more info on running OSPF with portmasters on different class C's?
Thank you.
