No, it is not 'just' like MP. MP fragments packets and distributes the
fragments down the pipes. MLLB is per-packet round robin. Not the same
thing.

You're in error here, 'Shotgun' is the branding given by Diamond to there
dual modems. Shotgun is NOT as your describe it, in fact is is really
based on standard MP.
What you are describing is more like the Webramp multi-modem setups.

MLLB only works PM-PM, or PM-Linux, or PM-FreeBSD as far as it is known.
It does not work well with Windows. Windows, of course, does support MP -
but to do that on modems you will need a PM-3 or P<-4.
