Still does. But MP+ is a BOD protocol that rides *on top of* MP, just list
BAP/BACP. If you connect to a PM-3, Cisco, etc, with Shotgun you get MP.
If you connect to a MAX you get MP/MP+. I don't believe they've added
BAP/BACP to Shotgun yet.

Why did they use MP+ instead? Politics. Diamond was/is in a marketing
partnership with Ascend. I exchanged email with a Diamond engineer a while
back who said the engineers would have rather used BACP since it was standard
and easier to implement, but they were ordered not to.
