This one is running since november, and I've never seen anything but four zero's
All modem-problems can be resolved by upgrading to the lastest firmware or
replacing a $ 50 piece-of-crap by a real modem. Stinchy buying habbits might be
the real problem..
So far I'm impressed with the PM3, and most people I know who have one (or more)
are. A minority is having systematic problems, but IMHO that's due to
other factors than the PM3. How often do you see Dutch ISP's complaining about
the modem-code in the PM3, and how many from the rural parts of the states?
I do agree that Lucent needs to try to find a way to resolve such problems. A
way to force slower (but more reliable) connections would be possible
candidate. But if I understood correctly the calling modem makes the descision
about speed, not the PM.
just my 0.02 euro's worth..
