I'm curious as to what your version of this problem is.
Msen bought a Netgear for testing purposes since some customers
complained of problems connecting to us on two channels. I
discovered two issues that caused problems:
1. MCPPP virtual sessions do not die correctly when channel(s)
drop out sometimes. This leaves something that causes packets
to drop into blackholes. Livingston e-mail support acknowledges
this as a known problem with a fix pending in the indeterminate
future.
2. We are receiving only 7 digits of Called-Station-ID from the telco.
In the case of our region, especially when dealing with CLECs,
it is likely that ISDN data calls will fail when using 7 digit
calling. 10 or 1+10 digit calling is necessary for the data to
route correctly. This issue can be dealt with by involving the
telco's Central Translations Group and getting them to fix 7 digit
calling, but that takes extreme amounts of hassling - and chocolate
chip cookie bribes to switch techs. :-)
Question to all of your who have quasi-working BAP:
Do you get more than 7 digits of Called-Station-Id? If so, what
is the PM sending back to the client for a phone number?
