Tricks and traps.
Hints galore.
Try dialing around to other ISPs using Hyperterm and see if you
can connect then do a "ATI11" (ateye11) that gives you the
data on last connect.
Try disabling everything and connect as a v.34.
I once showed up at a guy's place with a briefcase of modems that all
worked perfectly and couldn't get a one of them to connect.
That was failure number 7 in 2 years of connecting people. 4 were
Practical Perf 14400's.
