I've got 2 modems here...both are USR Sportser OEM
modems...I've been through 3com/USR's website, but am unable to
find any information regarding the OEM modems, and I am at a
lost...both of the users are commenting that they are either getting
slow connects (28,800) and sometimes they do get disconnected.
This could be line noise, but I have found USR internal OEM
(Sportster) ISA modems to be the most reliable modems
connecting to us...even out in the back woods, where I'm from, I
can typically attach at 45,333...
Anyways, if anyone has a website that they can point me to with
USR's OEM modems listed there, along with new firmware and
drivers, I'd appreciate it...I realize that we could use the modem
upgrade wizard for the customers...but that would mean the
customer would have to download it, and figure out the software,
etc...I would rather just be able to send them directly to a site
containing the files they need...and the files I need myself, since
USR Sportster 56K V.90 ISA are the only modems we sell with our
systems. It'd be nice to be able to goto a site, put the files on a
disk, and then just upgrade the computers as need be, rather than
calling long distance for 2 minutes :-)
