I'm impressed. We were on the phone with Gateway for half an hour
ourselves; all they did was tell us our modems sucked and unless we could
talk the customer into sending the whole thing back, it was our modem. (To
think I used to recommend Gateway because of their support... after today,
I'm going to start recommending against them.)

Tells the modem to ignore a no dial tone response. Generally a messy fix at
best (there's usually a reason it's not detecting a dial tone, either a real
tone problem or something off in the modem), but I've used it once or twice
to get people around "voice mail stutter dial tones" and such.
