One of our customers called GTE friday evening right before 5PM CDT.
Her battleship (actually my modem) 2400 modem connecting to her shell
account from her 8086 is getting hosed with line noise (its actually
audible noise when talking on her line). She mentions the fact that
she is connecting to Intrastellar Internet and they promply tell her to
call another 800 number.
She's like "ok", hangs up, calls it... ITS GTE.NET's NUMBER. She
calls back and they basically make it sound like they won't do anything
about it. THE ASSHOLES.
I would encourage you guys (the other ISP owners) if you feel your
telco's service is inadiquate call and complain about yer personal line
just like yer another customer and see what happens. Those who have
GTE and get the same result please contact me, I really think if this
is a wide spread thing, its very illegal, immoral, and crappy all
around, something should be done about it.
