I've been following with great interest the responses to these threads
inquiring about using a 56K external modem pool with the PM2e's. It
seems (if I'm reading correctly) the consensus from the more experienced
people on this list is that what's prohibiting using 56K with the PM2e
is that 56K requires the use of "digital phone lines". Prior to the PM3,
I ran my PM2's (and still do run one pm2e) off of a CT1 connected to an
Adtran TSU 600 using "Duel FXS" cards in the Adtran.
I've never tried, but since I still have the one PM2e using a CT1 off of
the Adtran, would I be able to circumvent analog problem if I were to
install 56K external modems to this pm2e?
Thanks,
T.J.
